Position: Credit Verification Specialist (CVS)
Reports To: Credit Verification Management -CV-Manager; Asst Director; Director

Overview:
The Credit Verification Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of credit report data by verifying and updating tradelines through direct communication with creditors and clients. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, remote work environment. Ideal candidates will bring experience in the mortgage or credit reporting industry and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Works supplement requests by taking appropriate action to verify and update tradelines that may include calling and/or faxing creditor, reviewing documentation, or conducting conference calls.
Meets or exceeds daily production quotas.
Maintains work quotes and consistently receives satisfactory audits.
Communicates with our client when the supplement is completed, or additional information or documentation is required.
Continuous follow-up on all requests assigned.
Return client correspondence in a timely manner.
Assist clients when they call in with questions and concerns.
File supporting documentation into credit report file.
Complete tasks and/or projects that have been assigned by management.
Maintains the integrity of a database with new phone numbers and contacts for creditors and updates existing ones with current information.
Remain up to date regarding ongoing policy and procedure changes and upgrades to software utilized.
Attends and participates in credit verification meetings and training.
Attends and participates in company meetings.
Remain up to date on industry changes, compliance, and regulations.
Remain up to date on policy and procedures changes.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment despite interruptions.
Maintain good working relationships with our clients, creditors, and co-workers.

Qualifications:
All new Credit Verification Specialists must become FCRA certified.
Experience in the mortgage and/or credit reporting industries. – One year minimum.
High School Graduate or GED.
Must be able to perform independently, be self-motivated and demonstrate initiative.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as credit reports, mortgage statements, bank and credit statements, court documents and the credit verification manuals.
Ability to carry out instructions and requests in an organized and timely manner.
Knowledge of Internet software and Microsoft Office.
Demonstrate the ability to learn and understand Advantage Credit systems.
Demonstrate strong data entry skills.
Experience with using a data base system is a must (Knowledge of Salesforce is a bonus)

Position Requirements:
This position requires individuals to sit at a desk and perform duties from company provided computer equipment for 8-hours each day.
You must be able to work during Corporate Headquarter operating hours, between 7am and 630pm MT.
Your home office must be free from outside noise and distractions.
You must maintain an internet service that meets company’s requirements.
Compensation:
Full-Time – Hourly wage position
Starting hourly wage: $20 per hour + Incentive Overtime hourly wage: 1.5 times hourly wage
Bi-Weekly pay period – direct deposit every other Thursday
Benefits:
